Araminta is creating a safe haven for survivors and at-risk youth to ensure the kids and youth of Maryland always have a place where they feel safe, loved, and supported.

Project S.O.S. began with a vision created by Rhonda Sanco, following Araminta’s Ignite the Light Benefit Dinner in October 2022.

That night, generous Araminta supporters contributed to the beginnings of a survivor sanctuary.

Since that night, Araminta has laid the foundation on which to will build that vision.

Project S.O.S. will provide:

• emergency shelter,
• ongoing community,
• access to counseling,
• opportunities for peer support, 
• assistance in document recovery and social assistance,
• educational support and job training, and
• tangible needs like food, baby care products, and clothing.
